J.J.

I'm J.J., an eleven year old tiger weighing 350 pounds.  Of all the cats at Last Hope, I'm the most active, following my human caretakers around the enclosure as they clean it.  I often run about the enclosure, pouncing on or play boxing with my brother, Duke.  I think I'm the most affectionate cat on the preserve.  I love to stick my nose between the bars to get a kiss or a scratch - I'm not fussy really - anyone, caretaker or friend, will do.

Shannon says my brother, Duke, and I were scheduled for extermination when we were rescued by Last Hope.  Because of a vitamin deficiency, I had lost most of my hair and my owner assumed I had contracted a disease, making it "unprofitable" to save me.  Sometimes humans just don't make sense!  Well. I'm glad Last Hope came along and took care of us!
